Schools in Ondo State are to remain closed
According to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Schools in Ondo State are to remain closed due to the violent protest in the state.
This information was revealed by Governor Rotimi Akerodolu on Sunday during a press briefing.
While speaking, he made it known that pupils and students must wait till everything gets back into normal in the state before going back to school for the continuation of academic activities.
If we can recall the Governor earlier announced October 19 as the resumption date for schools in the state after the long closure due to the outbreak if the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
He said; “Already, our children are billed to return to school after the disruption occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. Having assessed the situation in the last few days, we are convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that our children must still remain at home for the time being.”
Furthermore, the violent that cause unrest nationwide due to the End SARS protest is the reason why the schools in the state will remain closed because Ondo State is affected too.
