The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) begin the promised indefinite strike today as leadership of the union announced the commencement of the strike.

This was made known to Edustuff on Tuesday when Anderson Ezeibe, President of the union, communicate the information at a press briefing in Abuja.

According to him, the members of the union have agreed to shut all the Nigerian Polytechnics until their demands are met.

If we can also recall the Federal Government as scheduled an emergency meeting fixed to hold today to meet the union on the strike.
