The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, regarding TRCN result 2020, TRCN has said that 9,246 teachers who participated in the TRCN qualifying Examination that was held in July failed.
Prof. Olusegun Ajiboye, The Registrar/Chief Executive of TRCN said this while with the executives of the Education Correspondents Association of Nigeria led by its chairman, Mr Chuks Ukwuatu in Abuja.
He said that 28,094 (75 per cent) of the candidates recorded pass in the examination which witnessed the participation of teachers from the 36 states of the federation and Federal Capital Territory.

Furthermore, he said that the performance in the TRCN examination is quite encouraging and exam was introduced as a gate-keeping measure for the teaching profession.
While speaking, he said: On the whole, about 44,363 candidates registered for the examination but the total examined was 37,340 candidates. Due to the prevalence of COVID-19, a large number of candidates could not move around or write the examination.
HOW MANY CANDIDATES PASSED TRCN QUALIFYING EXAMINATION – TRCN RESULT
On the whole, 28,094 candidates passed the TRCN qualifying Examination which is 75.24 per cent while a total of 9,246 TRCN candidates failed, giving a percentage of 24.76 percent.
The TRCN said Lagos State with 3,574 candidates had the highest number of candidates that sat for the TRCN the PQE while Ekiti State with 235 candidates had the least numbers.
