Is NIN Compulsory for JAMB 2023 Registration?
According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), The National Identification Number (NIN) will be made compulsory for JAMB registration. This was first introduced in JAMB 2020 but was later canceled and Postponed to 2021 because the notice was not given earlier enough to the candidates.

Can a child of 15years write jamb
The move by the Senate Committee on Basic Education to amend the law establishing the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to limit the age of candidates writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to 16 years and above should be handled with caution. Candidates must have reached the age of sixteen years on the first day of October in the year of their admission.

The JAMB registrar need to consider extension of registration due to series of challenges faced by students due to NIN code generation. It is herculean task for these students to generate code on NIN. This I witnessed last week. The body should as a matter of fact extends the deadline.
