JAMB Results 2022: The results of the first batch of students who took the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Friday and Saturday will be released next week, according to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and made available to Edustuff.
Dr. Fabain Benjamin, the JAMB’s Head of Public Affairs and Protocols (PAP), verified this to the Nation but declined to elaborate.
However, it was reported that the Board will begin releasing the results on Monday or Tuesday as ealier published on Edustuff.
According to Benjamin, the board would use similar procedures to review the UTME and Direct Entry results as it did last year.
He explained that this was done to keep scammers out of the result-checking process.
The source said: “Rainfall is not an issue because others have written. It was the same Lagos. It was raining and some people came to write the examination.
Around 1,761,338 people nationwide registered for the UTME and DE, which began on May 6, 2022.
The exam, which is being held at 750 CBT centers certified by the Board, will be completed on May 16, 2022.
Some applicants who missed the UTME examination as a result of severe rains in Lagos and other major cities will not be rescheduled, according to a board official.
According to a JAMB official, rescheduling examinations for certain applicants when others took the same examination in the same city or center was against the board’s guidelines.
Only candidates who experienced technological difficulties as a result of their testing centers will be allowed to repeat the exam, according to the official.
“Our process is that as long as others have written that examination we cannot reschedule it for any candidates.
“If it is a technical issue we can reschedule but rainfall is not an issue. For those whose session was disrupted by the rain, we will not reschedule.”
