As part of the ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and secure registration process, the Board has implemented a policy requiring every candidate subscribing for the yearly UTME to use a unique mobile number. This mobile number serves as the candidate’s personal identifier, making it exclusive for their registration and JAMB profile access. This is an essential security measure designed to prevent fraudulent registrations and ensure direct communication with candidates throughout the UTME process.
Since the introduction of this policy, we have received numerous reports from candidates who have lost their JAMB-registered SIM cards. As a result, many candidates have requested assistance for SIM card replacement to complete their UTME/DE registration.
JAMB Lost Sim Card issue Solution
To address these concerns and ensure a smooth process for those who have lost their SIM cards, the Board has outlined the following guidelines for those who wish to use profiled email services as an alternative for registering for the 2025 UTME/DE:
Conditions for Candidates Requesting SIM Card Replacement:
- Service Availability: This service is available only at JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRCs). These centres are authorized to handle the process.
- Physical Presence Required: Candidates must be physically present at the PRC for authentication. During this process, candidates will undergo biometric verification to confirm their identity.
- Penalty Fee: Candidates who wish to use the profiled email service to replace their lost SIM card will be required to pay a penalty fee of N5,000.
