Students of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) have expressed displeasure over expulsion of 100 students in the institution, saying management’s decision was too harsh and inconsiderate.
Recall that the management of the university had last month expelled about 100 students of the school for their involvement in examination malpractices.
But some students of the university, who spoke with us yesterday , claimed that the school management did not follow due process in their judgment, as they also expelled innocent students for the offence they didn’t commit.
They alleged that the decision of the management was too drastic and harsh, as no prior notice was given to the accused to defend themselves.
A student, who identified himself as Michael, said while some innocent students were wrongfully accused, some offenders who were influential brought their families to plead on their behalf, “and the senate accepted their pleas.
We urged the school management to do something to address this.
