KWASU Suspends Academic Activities Till Further Notice, Gives Directive

The Kwara State University (KWASU) has suspended its academic activities till further notice and issue directive to the members of staff, this was revealed in an email sent to the university community made available to Edustuff.KWASU Suspends Academic Activities Till Further Notice, Gives Notice

This is to inform the entire University community (both staff and students) that, as part of measures to prevent the spread of second wave of Corona virus (COVID – 19) in the country, the Federal government through the National Universities Commission (NUc) has directed officers on cONTISS 11, CONUASS 04 and below to stay at home and work from home for a period of Five weeks effective from Wednesday, 23rd December 2020 to Wednesday, 27th January, 2021 and resume work on Thursday. 28th January, 2021 as discovered by Edustuff.

Other members of staff on CONTISs 13, CONUASS 03 and those on essential duty who will be at work are expected to use nose masks, observe high personal hygiene, social distancing and other coVID-19 protocols.

Furthermore, in line with the directive of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, all activities involving large crowd s (e.g classroom, hostel accommodation, conferences, seminars will be suspended during this intervening period, pending further directives by the Federal Government.

All members of staff are hereby advised to adhere strictly to the above Management’s directive.
