The authorities of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA, has ordered the immediate closure of the institution in addition to the earlier released circular as published by Edustuff.

If we can recall, an accident occured in Akungba Akoko on Saturday in which some students of the institution lost their lives, as reported by Edustuff the management of the institution immediately Postpone the scheduled examinations till further notice.

In a new circular issued and signed by the Acting Registrar of the institution, Opeoluwa Akinfemiwa, the students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA are to leave the school by 6:00 pm on Sunday.

With the help of a direct source of Edustuff, the Indigenes of Akungba expressed their feelings and concern about the frequent accident on the road, the Indigenes blocked the road and protest, they stopped a government delegation from entering the community who was sent by the state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

The new directive reads:

“Further to our circular of Saturday 23rd January, 2021 and the attendant protest by students on Sunday, 24th January, 2021, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Prof Olugbenga Ige, on behalf of Senate, has directed that the University be closed with immediate effect until further notice.

“All students are therefore advised to vacate the campus latest by 6pm today, Sunday 24th January, 2021.”
